NAVIGATION DROPPING BEHIND GALLERY IN FIREFOX

Was just about to order when I noticed that the drop-down boxes in my navigation were going behind the gallery.

So........I figured out how to keep my page's navigation (jQuery / javascript) from dropping behind the gallery in IE, but not in Firefox.

Accually, I changed the gallery object code to <param name="wmode" value="transparent">...worked like a charm for IE.

Firefox still had issues.

Other things tried: I have played with the z-index in my javascript (z-index: 1;) but that did not help with Firefox either. Still falling behind the gallery.

Any advice as to what I can do.

Thanks;
C.

Did you play with the z-index on both elements or just one of them? If just one, try the other and see if that helps? I know my menu program has Z-Index settings built into it also that allow for this issue, but I've never used a drop down menu on a page with a gallery up till now so I've not been aware it did that either lol. If you tried it on both elements then, hmm dunno, guess we need something for this issue. Jo Ann

Check your DIVs. I had this problem because my DIVs were overlapping and the menu DIVwas stuck behind the edge of the content DIV "Time heals everything. Know who said that? My Latin teacher at barber college!"

Thank you JoAnn and Floyd....I'll try both solutions and see if one or both fixes this pesky issue.

Peace;

No luck fixing this issue in Firefox. I have tried everything I can think of and the navigation still falls behind the gallery. Too bad, would have loved to have purchased this....

Anyone else have this issue that they found a 'fix' for.

As mention, I managed to find a solution in IE, but NOT Firefox.

Did you add the same WMODE parameters in the Embed settings as well? Those are the ones that tell FF how to display your Gallery. Ha en riktig god dag!

Thank you so much Inger...that was the missing code that made it work in FF.

Much appreciated;

Cathy
