Hello all,

I did do a search on this topic, but I'm not sure I found an answer.

I'm having an issue with image quality. My gallery is set to 380 x 300, my images are all imported at 350 x 265. Yet for some reason coffee cup is resampling them and making them look jaggy. Here's what's happening...

I'm completely stumped on this one. I've tried EVERYTHING. What am I missing?

Thanks guys! Phillip Newell

Now once again my galleries were made quite a while ago, but I noticed when I did mine that I didn't like the size the CC Photo Gallery made so what I did was used a program to mass resize (I believe it was just Irfanview) and I just swapped out the pictures that CC Photo Gallery made for the ones I wanted to use. As long as they are the same name and you put them in the same location they will work fine.

In your case you can use your own copies of the pictures of whatever size you are needing them to be rather than CC Photo Gallery's created ones. It's a simple fix pretty much.

here's a link to my original post on this subject, but... to be fair to CC I haven't attempted another gallery since the recent updates at all so I don't really know if they fixed the issue I had.

Either way though, it's pretty easy to just replace the graphics that CC created for you with the ones you want to use, just make sure they are named the same and in the location that the software puts them in and you're good to go. :)

Hmmm...I read your original post and did go in and replace the CC files with my own of the same size. It made sense to me. But, sorry to say, it didn't work in my case. As you can see, it's still jaggy...

I'm at my wits end. After spending a good part of 2 days trying and retrying to create a slideshow that looks somewhat decent, I'm lost, stumped and desperate.

Any other ideas? Phillip Newell

you have links to the graphics you want to show? link me a few of the pictures that are "not" jaggedy so I can see what you're talking about, because they don't look jaggedy to me. I can't click them as you have that protected so I can't get it to open the larger picture to get a better look sorry. Lets see what the ones you want it to use look like pls. Jo Ann

Really? They look pretty bad on 2 computers here...

Any other thoughts or ideas? I've always like this software, but I've never experienced this until the latest version. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing? I'm stumped and ready to move on to different software.... Phillip Newell

Take a screen shot and post a link to it so I can see what it is you're talking about, because when i looked at it a week ago it was just fine to me and looks the same today as it did that day. Pics in the gallery showing on your site are pretty clear to me. Jo Ann
