I'm trying to edit the XML file to goto a URL instead of an image when the big photo is clicked.

Yeah, you may perhaps be able to do it that way, but wouldn't it be much easier to do it within the programme itself?

If you look right of the Photo Caption field, you'll see a little icon. Click on that and fill in the url of the page you want to have opened. Ha en riktig god dag!

I bought the Flash Photo Gallery software, downloaded and installed it.
When I uploaded the generated files to my web server, the yellow scrolling bar askingme to buy the software still displays.

Make sure that you uninstall the trial version and restart your computer first before downloading and installing the registered. Once you follow these steps open the gallery created and re-save it and upload the files to your site. Refresh the page and the banner should no longer appear ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~

Hi. You may need to better explain what you want here. What program are you talking about? You can send pictures and such in an email by attaching them to the email, or you could put your files in a folder and zip them, then email them.
If you mean to send something that was built in a flash program, that might be difficult if the person you send the email to does not have that same program to open your file.

Please give more detail so we can better help you. E-Learning Specialist

Thanks for replying, I have created a flash photo gallery and was hoping to send it to the man who does my web site, so that he can replace part of the second page of the site.
Is this at all possible please?

Yes it should be possible. When you save the photo gallery, it will create a number of files. Put all of those files into a folder, zip the folder and email the zipped folder as an attachment to the email. Your web designer should be able to upload those files, and use the html page to get the code and use in any web page where it is needed. E-Learning Specialist

Is it possible to have more than 1 album on the website and have visitors choose which ever one they would like to see? If so, what happens to the 'loose' files in the root directory? The html, swf and xml files of the previous album. And do I need to have the second album on a different web page? Dottie

I am going to assume you mean the CoffeeCup Photo Gallery program?
Yes, you can have multiple albums. On the main Photo Gallery window, click on the "albums" button, then click "add album" then click "add photos". Select the photos you want on your album.
If you are updating an existing photo slide show, then open that gallery in the program, add your new album and photos, then save it again as the same name in the same location and it will overwrite the original, adding the new album to it. That will give you a "myalbum.xml, .html, .swf" files and a "myalbum_files" folder, with your images in it. One nice neat pagckage to upload, so you don't have any "loose" items.
Furthermore, you can put your photo gallery in a sub-folder. I don't think it has to be in the "root" folder of your website to work. You could create a folder called "slideshows" on your server, and upload all your photo gallery files to it. As long as any link points to that folder, then the file, it should be ok.
