Hi,
Great programs but I have a query please.
My password page has the code you supplied to ensure it has to be accessed the correct source.
This all works a treat. However what I would like to do is to ad a piece of code to my 'members' area pages that says in essence - you never accessed from one of these listed pages so I'm sending you back to the password page.
Is this possible? I have tried google searching and fiddling with the code you kindly supplied with the password wizard. Unfortunately I have not been very successfull.
Currently if you have visited a members page once you can go straight to it from the cached address in you IE/Firefox address bar and it is this I am trying to stop.
Any help or advice gratefully recieved as always.
Rgds ...Pete

Pete,
Try doing a Google search on .htaccess turotial and checking the use of .htaccess to reject and redirect.
One spot that might have what you want is: www.freewebmasterhelp.com/tutorials/htaccess

I am not getting the progression and what to link to make the password link work for my garden cllub web site. I've asked for help from the contact page and am still confused. The last reply I got was to link my menu ONLY to the password HTML. What menu was my question I don't have a menu that really connect with the login box... I't in the table.

I have a few pages that need connecting to a member only link. I have an idex page that goes to amember login prompt, that goes to the table pages that members can access. These were corrected and sent back with these instructions..You will need to link ONLY to the password.html page in your menu. I need this to work so I can use other CoffeeCup tools. Have I purchased the wrong tool? I've had success with most parts of the package so far, but this has taken hours and I'm not getting it to work.

As I understand WAM only protects "directory" folders in it's currant build.
Page specific I believe is to follow in an updated version.
Therefore:
Save a directory folder to your root folder. Eg login_1
Put all of your access pages in there.
Link "highlight" that folder in WAM tree view and do your setup.
If you have a second access area then setup a second folder Eg login_2
and repeat above. http://www.primetimebulldogs.com

WAM? Web Access Manager? I was using the CC password Wizard. I'm just going to use one a password for all members and change the password as needed. I'm going to use this for one portion of the site from the drop down menu. I this not going to work. I haven't figured out the Web Access Manager.

Hi Suzy,
I may not be able to answer you but I do know your pages shouldn't have spaces in them, Password Wizard doesn't allow it. If you have the spaces try adding an underscore btween the names: member_link,member_loginpage,
maybe that could help.
you must have an index page with the frame on it.

protecting this page
http://myofficialnewbie.com/password/member_link.html
your doing this so nobody can just copy the url to go directly to the protected page. the files used you can download here.
http://myofficialnewbie.com/password/member_link.zip
Might be a good idea as someone suggested and make a folder and use that as your iframe/password link.....

Thanks so much for your input. Now we'll see if I can get it to work. I thought I was good with technology until I took the webmaster position for my club!
