With Password Wizard, I keep getting an error box that says:
Access Violation at address 00000014. Read of address 00000014.
What does this mean?
I get the box when I try to save and exit the program. mcchipper

I got a similar error: Access violation at address 00404042...Read of address 02FD06C.
Do you have a solution?

Both of you give this a try:
This can happen even if you are running as an Administrator, and it is caused by Windows very strict security settings.
To fix this, right-click your Password Wizard shortcut icon and select Run as Administrator. This should properly launch Password Wizardr for you. If it does, great! You can continue to launch the program in this way, or you can go a step further and configure the shortcut to always run as administrator. Here's how:
1. Right-click the shortcut icon, and click Properties.
2. Click the Compatibility tab.
3. Here, put a check mark by Run This Program as an Administrator.
4. Next, put a check mark next to Run This Program in Compatibility Mode For: and ensure Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 is selected.
5. Click OK.
If you continue having problems you may also need to set the application as an exception to Vista's Data Execution Prevention (DEP) feature. Normally if this is the culprit, you'll get a little bubble along the taskbar notifying you, which will allow you to set the offender as an exception.
One last option that could be the cause of this, and related to the DEP feature, is User Account Controls. This is the large window that appears in Vista asking you to "Allow" or "Deny" access to functions within programs. You can turn this off within your Control Panel > User Accounts window, along the left-hand pane.
All three options let you control your system exactly how you want and give you full access to do/run anything on the computer. ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~

Thank you Scott.
In my case the solution is to change DPI settings to 100.
Happy Thanksgivings Day!

Scott,
Concerning Error Message:
Access violation at address 758C086A in module "user32.dll" write of address 0000004"
I "repaired" the DLL file, as requested earlier" and did not receive the error when I clicked on the CODES TAB for about 48 hours. At which point it started again. I uninstalled CC, did a cold boot and reinstalled from a copy off the web site. Again everything worked great for about 24 hours when again it started giving the Access Violation error. I followed the instruction above, which did not fix the problem, but now I getting a "User Account Control" pop up asking if I "want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?"
What next boss?
FYI I running Win 7
Derrall

I am getting this error: 'Access violation at address 00C9C014 in module coffee.exe. Write of address 0000006C'. Can't open any files, can't start a new file. Program seems completely locked and useless. Running Win XP.

@Inger_Eik @SirAGE it's really great that you took time to submit an answer. Pity you hadn't actually read the prior posts before firing in your spam link nonsense.

That's noway to treat somebody offering help. I can't hear what I'm looking at when it's so easy to overlook something I'm not looking for.
