Lavinia,

http://www.coffeecup.com/mp3-ripper/ is the page that should answer most of your questions about this software.

Yes, it will create MP3 files and other formats.

You can download and run it for 21 days during the free trial. Bill R.

I'm fairly certain that to import iTunes-purchased songs that have DRM (as opposed to purchased from iTunes Plus or from Amazon or similar non-DRM-using sites), you will have to first burn the songs to a CD, then rip them with the software. If CC sold software that directly circumvented the DRM I expect Apple's lawyers would descend in a frenzy. "You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer." -- Frank Zappa

Hi There, The CC riper does not have a file format for reading songs purchased through iTunes, so I was unable to convert them. Thanks

Lavinia,

As I said above, you can burn the iTunes-purchased songs to a CD and then use the CC software to rip them. That's the most common method for getting rid of Apple's DRM. Well I finally got around to this again and wanted to let you know I burned a CD from iTunes, then the Jukebox picked them up with no issues. So I did not have to use the CC ripper. Thanks
