I am reluctantly using the FMB program, and have the same concerns as many of the users above. Is there any chance this will be upgraded to fix some of these issues? I, too, would like to see a vertical submenu option on the Horiz.root menu, and the hover issue mentioned by Cheryl (see 2 below) . I attempted to use another site's flash menu builder, but was having too much trouble getting it to work in VSD...so now I am back to this program.
2) When I create a submenu, I then preview to test - when I mouseover on a root button with a submenu, the submenu will stay on the screen and not disappear when I mouseover to the next button

This is a suggestions area for FMB. If your having trouble getting FMB to work post a question in this forum. I'm sure you'll get an answer.

Moved thread to a post of it's own in the appropriate forum. Hopefully this will get you some more possible answers, feedback etc. although this has been an ongoing issue for many so I'm not sure if this is being worked on or not. Hopefully someone will shed some light for you and others on this subject. Good luck.

I just bought this software and made my first menu. Wouldn't you know it, I have the "sub-menu continues to show after mouse-over" problem and there's no way I can use the product without the ability to create a vertical sub-menu (not to mention, I'd like to move my buttons!) Other than these major design functionality flaws, the software was easy enough to use. Has there been a fix or has someone come up with a work-around? If not, I will request my money back.

Can't edit my previous post - get an error msg. Anyhoo, I figured out how to create a vertical sub-menu...the trick is to create several menus. One menu for home, one for FAQ's etc. This gives me the option to move my buttons where I want them on my web page, too. Mouse-over is still strange - drop-down appears but if you don't select something, the drop-down only disappears if you move the mouse elsewhere and then back over the main button again.

To create a vertical menu, check the vertical menu radio button on the menu tab. The sticky menu issue isn't as apparent on vertical menus.

I probably wasn't clear. I wanted (and figured out how to get) a horizontal menu with a vertical dropdown from each button, and the buttons needed to be moveable rather than bunched together so I could position them on my page where I wanted them.
I'm still struggling with the software...I find a work-around only to confront another problem. Got the vertical drop-down, but there are six menu items - so it scrolls, which is bad because there's no way for the user to know there's more after the last initially visible menu item, and when I add a frame, it sticks out like a sore thumb (doesn't appear and disappear on mouse-over with the menu). Is there a way to adust the length of the menu so it doesn't scroll? In addition, some of my menu items are phrases that don't fit on the buttons - any way to make the buttons bigger? I tried resizing a button in my photo-editing software, but it didn't take...
Thanks for any suggestions.

I had the problem like your describing and and added enough main menu buttons to give the sub menus the room they needed.

Shot in the dark here.. Has there been any solutions to the mouseover menu being stuck until the menu is moused over again? not sure if I said that right..
The flash menu maker hasn't been updated in a long time and I wouldn't look for it to get updated. If CC puts any effort into a menu design app. it surely won't be flash based.
