Hi all!
Long time no post! he he he he he
Well...interesting problem here. if I mouse over the root button...the sub-buttons appear...all well and good! Problem: If i don't click on one of those buttons and move my mouse elsewhere on the screen...the sub buttons just stay there...they do not "shrink" back away...very odd. Any ideas?!?
Thanks!

Armen - No solution for you, but it depends on "how" you exit the menu/sub-menu. If you leave to the side or bottom of the item, you are correct, the menu stays open. However, if you exit via the top the menu WILL shrink.
Good Luck in figuring this out. I'm sure someone will come by soon and try to help you more. Living the dream, stocking the cream

So far no solution to what I consider a real problem. If we're using the flash menu builder to make "professional" looking menus, then we need them to function in a professional way. The submenus should simply disappear when you move the mouse cursor off of the menu button.
Can we get someone from Coffee Cup to respond to this thread and give us some direction please?

It appears that any sub menu remains displayed until that sub menu root menu is again hovered over. So you can have all the sub menus displayed at once if none of the root menus are moused over. Direction doesn't matter. Should be an easy fix for the developers.

I got all excited, a new version (3.5), they must have fixed this by now, so I thought! Nope.... same old, same old. Still can not:
1.) choose the sub menu's to open vertically in a horizontal main menu... (see my messy solution for this below)
2.) make the sub menus disappear upon loss of focus....
Guys please add this! Can not be too hard almost all of the menu creating programs out there do this. it would just take two extra variables in the XML, OK and lots of reworking of the SWF, but come on not that much...............
Solution to # 1.) create a bunch of vertical menus and place them horizontally in your object or css layout. Unfortunately with out 2.), they look kind of dorky once they are all or partially open!
(as in cheesy not laughing)...

Armen, I would recommend that you turn off the show submenu on scrollover feature, because at least that way it works in a less dorky way (having to click to make the buttons display and disappear). But I am really interested in your solution to show vertical submenus below horizontal menus. Can you share it in more detail please?
It is a new year and the problem still persists. Customers are complaining...confused.
It's like chasing a two year old when you're on crutches, no matter where or how I click it won't show up or won't go away.
Anyone get any answers yet.

It's a known issue with the flash menu maker.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
