Hi everybody,
clicking on a button created with Flash menu builder, the button is rendered depressed. This effect is achieved by painting the button picture some pixels to the left and down. Now, if some joker does not release the mouse button while the cursor is _over_ the button, but drags the mouse cursor out of the button area before the mouseUp() event occurs, then the button is not redrawn unpressed. This little oddity can be reproduced in both preview- and production- mode. Maybe you should check any mouseLeave() event, too, if available. I added a little screenshot taken from the preview window of the flash menu builder after playing around with some buttons :-)
Another little thing (that almost drove me nuts lately:-) is that you don't bring an existing main window to front if one is trying to launch a second instance incidentally. I mean, it's okay to limit the program to one instance only (you must have a good reason to do so), but then, IMHO, you either should display a short dialog, or bring the running instance to front. Sometimes it is confusing and frustrating to hit a desktop link again and again without getting any obvious response.
Best,
Burkhard
I have noticed this, as well. I don't have the answer but will say that a CSS menu is better than a Flash menu.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
