My site, http://www.uphilltheband.com/ has been working fine for ages so I thought I'd try to mess it up. I added a Flash menu - a plain horizontal no sub menus menu, the same one on every page.
Darn. It worked just fine. What else can I do?
Ah, I know! I added a photo gallery using the CC gallery s/w.
Bingo! The photos show fine but one logo image shows as a grey blob. Tried everything, saved stuff, added files, re-synced (re-sanc?) the site. What's worse, now when I click the 'Pictures' tag, it crashes Firefox. (IE works fine).
I reloaded Adobe Flash, exited VSD and restarted it, kicked the cat, but it still crashes.
Any thoughts?
What else do we have to do at 10 pm on a Saturday night? I have an inferiority complex - but it is not a very good one.

Hey, it gets better. The menu works fine when I preview using the built in browser, but not when using the default (Firefox). It just makes the mouse click sound and does not go to the page.
In summary:
Built-in browser - just fine
IE - just fine
Firefox (external) crashes
Firefox (as default for pre-view) clicks but does not jump not crash. I have an inferiority complex - but it is not a very good one.

Hi Bass,
which version of flash menu builder and photo Gallery do you have?
should be 3.4 and 5.94 for the gallery....did you add them usingthe flash tool?
I use IE and as soon as I hit pictures it crashes as well for me
so what I think you need to do is open photo gallery ( with the 5.94 version) and just save it, yes overwrite it and then re-add it to VSD.
this is what we do on saturday nights. lol "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

You up yet, Bruz?
I have 3.4 of Menu but 5.9 of Photo Gallery.
I wonder if they still do free upgrades?
All the other tabs work fine across the board. It is only the Pictures tab in Firefox that fails for me, but you use IE and it crashed? Curiouser and curiouser.
I added the Pictures page as a copy of Links. I added the menu using Flash I have not updated the menu nor the photo gallery since I first created them.
I did an Add Files.
They say that one sign of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. (They said this BC - Before Computers).
I guess my next step is to delete the menu and gallery from the site and re-add it.

Hi Bass,
The picture tabs leads to your gallery and with the new flash upgrade by adobe it doesn't work well with old galleries so you need to upgrade the phot gallery to 5.94, it is free if your a registered user. It's not the menu but the gallery "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

Bass4Uphill,
The Adobe Flash upgrade seems to affect different users in different ways.
CoffeeCup changed the Photo Gallery program to generate code that will work with Adobe's new flash.
Like Bruzer says, open your photo gallery in with the new Photo Gallery and then save it. Upload the new files and that should solve the problem. Bill R.
