I am putting a website together using VSD and the flash menu builder.
For the menu I am using transparent buttons: The menu appears as text only (the buttons are invisible) but behaves as a flash menu with sub menus rolling out, etc.
When I save the menu with the Fix for Active Content box checked I lose the transparency of the buttons thus creating ugly squares around the text. This is only the case when this option is checked.
Is there a fix for this or do I need to go back to the drawing board?
Unfortunately I cannot provide a link
Any help will be greatly appreciated

James,
I believe that Microsoft has fixed the IE problem and you may not need to use the fix active content solution. Bill R.

James another option would also be to open your menu in flash menu builder and uncheck the active box and save it, then using the flash tool in VSD add it again.
But first you'll need to remove the original files from the previous install. "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

Thanks for the suggestions
I have no choice but to remove the "fix" check mark as it is either that or change the overall design of the site. Both with and without the check, however, IE8 still disables the menu until you accept active content in the browser.
Something I'll just have to live with, I guess.
Thanks again

That won't be the case when you put the page online.
Thanks All
