Mike,

Look in Lockbox for an export data function. Bill R.

I had my lockbox folder being backed up on a second hard drive, so I just copied the folder to the new drive and all seems ok -- but a bit sluggish.

Anyway --

I need to backup my data automatically every day, so exporting is something I'd rather not do.

What about coffeepwk.dat ? (or something like that) ....... is that not a data file I can backup?

Should I reinstall lockbox and then copy the coffeepwk.dat back into the new install?

All you need to do is copy the .pwk file to a backup location. Then on the new system, copy it back. LockBox will automatically find it.

Hey thanks Scott.

The pw.pwk file correct? (don't see any other with that extension).

I suspect I had better reinstall as well, rather than just copy and paste the whole folder as I have.

It's working....but seems a little odd.

?

CC software is great dude.

The .pwk file is located at C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup LockBox Just copy that to each system that you would like to use Lock Box on.

Scott,

I m having an issue with my Lock box. program. I got through the steps listed above and In reinstall the program it work great. all my codes come up but then close it and and the data is looking like a newly installed program with nothing in it. Where did mt data go?

please advise...

I, too, am building a new primary machine and want to move lockbox over. Since I've freed up my brain memory from storing these passwords, I want to make sure this move goes well before I blow away the dying machine.
The steps then are:
1) install the program on the new machine.
2) copy over the .pwk file to new machine.
3) fire up the program.
Right? Just want to be sure. It's important!
Thanks! Al Swanson

If you come here and ask 'How do I use a jackhammer?', we might ask 'Why do you need to use a jackhammer'? If the answer is 'to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer', then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers.

I am not sure I follow. You say all your codes come up but then they don't after you close? Can you explain? ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~
