Like many of you security is important to me, so when I saw CoffeeCup LockBox come by I thought great.

my computer is set up so when I am using it on a daily basis ande on the internet I am a "power user" in XP so i installed lockbox under my administrator account, (as i do with all the software) but lockbox does not want to work.

If i am logged in as administrator I can use lockbox, but logged in as a user it won't run and says it cannot access it's files.

I have not had this probles with any other CoffeeCup software before and have been using them since the mid '90s.

I have XP home and need suggestions?

Thanks Volunteering to help :)

I received LockBox when I ordered Editor 2006. I downloaded both programs. Unfortunately, after I wrote down my username and password to LockBox, I spilled my coffee on my password book. So, now I can't use LockBox. I emailed Coffee Cup for help, but have not had a responce. And it's been a long time, as in a month. Can anyone help me?

Smile at a stronger, you might make their day. Happiness is a cup of coffee and a good mouse.

If you installed it as an admin, you most likely have to run it as an admin. You can however copy it to a thumb drive or another location and that will work. ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~

I would consider that good security for the Lockbox. I, myself, would like the fact that if I had several users on a computer, they others couldn't access it. Never thought of doing what you're doing as far as making yourself as power user. Maybe you can do a Run As (runas command) to let you install it on that account with temporary admin status:

They would need the username/password to access it however. ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~
