Hey. I recently bought the live chat to use for public use at http://www.taclan.info The chat isn't all that useful because It is hard to know If anyone is in the chat room or when a message has been sent.
My question is. Does anyone know how to add a current chatters box on the left side of chat and add a noise for when a message has been sent?
I emailed the coffee cup team and they told me to ask here. They also said that It could be done by messing with the XML file.
If anyone can help me out, that would be great. Thank you for reading.
Hmm the only way I could see this beig possible is by setting the users loggedin time as the session starts then tracking them as they move as soon as they log into the chat then add their user name to the session and hey presto all of a sudden as long as a user is using the chat they will have a name assigned and thus you can use the classic users online script to display only the sessions that have name (meaning they are using the chat or were at least) and thus you could add that to a list at the side put that list in an iframe with a 1-2min refresh and thats it.
I could look further into this to see about using the xml file but Im just offering a wrok around that would work with any chat not just cc software :-D
