Hello,

I am trying to upload some images onto my website but they are not showing up when I look at it online. When I am in coffee cup and use the tester they are there, I have uploaded the images to the site along with the entire project. The images are in a folder where my other images are in that have been uploaded successfully onto to the site. I am not sure where to go from here, please advise.

Thank you
Krista

Check you image names for .jpg or .JPG.
Windows doesn't see the difference but a server does.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Do you have any spaces or characters in your image names? If so, get rid of them and try uploading again.
Example: my photo.jpg >>>change to my-photo.jpg
or... mom @ work.jpg >>> mom-at-work.jpg.
Stick to standard web image file types as well.... .jpg, .png, .gif.

Let us know if that's not it and we'll dig deeper ;)

....and what Eric said
I've gotten so used to always using lower case, I forget about that.

Are you uploading within HTML Editor or via an FTP program? If in html HTML Editor, if you are not seeing them online yet it looks like it's uploading, check your ftp settings and make sure they are correct. One thing to definitely check is whether or not passive is needed. Just do the opposite of what it is now and see if that helps so if it's checked for passive now, uncheck it and save the settings and try uploading again.

Also be sure to clear your browser cache to make sure you see the most recent changes and make sure to refresh the page so the changes take effect.

I checked the file name and it was fine as a .jpg I took out all the spaces as well and saved them and tried uploading them again. I tried with passive off then on again as well as I cleared the history. I had made some other changes and so when I did another upload the changes were made but the pictures were not there on the site. So I assume that means the settings are right because the other changes were fine. The changes uploaded (without pictures) on the passive mode.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for your help.

It might be easier to figure this out with a link to the site. ;)

There are 2 of my pages I am trying to upload images on here is a link to both.

http://www.welcomechange.ca/index.html

With the second one, nothing is coming up. The pictures should be above the free 45 minute link and the free ebook link.

Thanks

The 2 images linked into your page are not on the server:

File names on the web are case sensative. Are you sure the images are all lowercase like they are written in the markup? If for example, if the metabolismboosters.jpg image is actually named Metabolismboosters.jpg, you would have to change that in the markup.

On the editor they are all saved as lower case letters as well as in the editor html page that I want them on they are in the lower cases letters and they all match. When I upload just the images they show they upload and I can see them uploading as the same file name.
