We never had something like that in the editor before. Are you maybe thinking of the Open From Web feature?

If you want to edit files directly on your server, you can do that with Website Projects. That is new to this version.

Or perhaps you are referring to the visual editor mode and can't find the tab for it. You can make the tab visible by going into the preferences settings.

The HTML Editor is a great product! May I request that the next update give the user an easier path to create CSS style sheets under the File>New function? This feature would put it on par with programs like Coda, Espresso, or BBEdit on the Mac, or other text editors on the Windows platform as well. With this feature included in the HTML Editor, you could retire the Style Sheet Maker. Thanks.

Greetings,
Just bought the SW - great stuff! Just a handful of suggestions...

1. It'd be nice to have Extended Find with a search in current project
2. Printing has date and time, but nothing about the project name or file name (custom header & footer a la Excel would be kewl!)
3. It would be useful to have a New page from a project defined template (or list of templates/models)
4. Some sort of highlighting option which identifies matching tags when either hovering the mouse over the tag, or by double clicking the tag.
5. Outline/collapse code sections

I still have a lot to learn about the product - keep up the good work!

How about a product that doesn't crash on Widows 7, without running as administrator!

First I've heard of ANYONE having complications with CC Software on Win7

BUT!!! Considering that Win7 was just final released last week (or so) and it was EXPECTED that WinXP compatible software would run just fine on it... Can we allow a little leeway for CC to be able to hear about and address ANY problems before throwing them off a cliff? I'm sure that if it is a problem that CC can address and fix they will, as they have in the past, often much faster than any other software producers could ever dream of.

Thanks for bringing this potential issue to attention. This space left blank intentionally...

I run Windows 7 now exclusively and never had any issues. Have you tried re-installing the software?

This software runs flawlessly on Windows 7. However, after doing an in-place upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista, CC HTML Editor needed reinstalling before working properly. Obviously something in the upgrade broke the Editor, but a simple reinstall got it up and running. To be honest many of my apps broke due to the upgrade so CC software isn't the problem.

It is odd that HTML editor has no easy way for a user to embed an swf file. Imagine my surprise when I asked how this could be done and was told by tech support that, in effect, it can't be done. Here is what can be done: if you create flash within OTHER Coffee Cup programs you can cut and paste the code they use to publish the result - cut and paste it into HTML editor and upload that resulting file and the swf file. So swf forms created in the Coffee Cup forms program etc. BUT if you start with an SWF file, there is NO WAY built in as part of html editor -- no wizard, no code snippet, no simple plug in...naddah -- no way that it can be embedded into a web page. AND there is no way to use any flash creating Coffee Cup program to get the needed code. Please fix that. Lots of us have video we would like to make available via web pages we create.

I tried to locate a support ticket so I can see your original question but I can't find it. You can add any Flash object you like to our software. Simply use the correct HTML code to add it to your Website. It is as simple as 1-2-3 ;)
