S-Drive Splash screen, how to disable

Hi All,

New here, been using CC software for many years, on and off, and just returned to the editor I started using many, many, many years ago.

So far so good, just that I find one item particularly annoying and distracting, and that is the background splash screen on the main page when you open the editor, the one displaying the S-Drive advert "Satisfy your inner dragon".

I have been looking, but I can't find how to disable that. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance.

Kind regards, Wim

Now why would you want to do that Wim! Once you open a new page, you no longer appears. :)

There is no way to disable that within the interface, but if you hack the coffee.ini file, you can disable it.

If it helps, Open Tools - Preferences - General tab, right at the top left you can set the prog. to open a new file or the last one you were using. 'No file' will produce the image and text you don't seem to like.

Thank you Scott, fixed :)

I like bright graphics, but I prefer a blank background when starting up my editor, plus, I do not intend to use S-Drive anyway, at least not for now - I use my own setup :).

BTW, I wouldn't call that hacking, it is just a small edit ;).

Or when closing everything when done. I did set it up to open all files I was editing, but I also like to close everything when done with it. I just find it very distracting for some reason, don't ask why, it is just a feeling. It actually makes me switch to another editor quite often, but now it is disabled, all is fine :).

I too would like to disable the S-Drive splash screen.

"if you hack the coffee.ini file, you can disable it."

I haven't been able to find the setting that controls this. Anyone?
