Hello,

With CC Editor HTML, I can to open NotePad++ (by Menu Tool > Applications > NotePad++)
But, NotePad++ display a empty file.

I should like, when a HTML file is opened with CC Editor HTML and I open NotePad++ (by Menu Tool > Applications > NotePad++), see the HTML file selected on CC Editor HTML.

How to do this ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi nanar,

You dont want to open the Note++ application in html editor you however you could open up a previously made Note++ file you created.

Why would you need to open the file in Notepad++? Just curious since the HTML Editor will do pretty much everything that Notepad++ does and more actually. Just curious since you would be causing yourself more problems with overwriting each other constantly by editing the same file in 2 different open programs at the same time. So I guess I'm just curious why you would need to do that. :)

Why would you need to open the file in Notepad++ ?

1. Because Tools > Code Cleaner ( of CC HTML Editor 12.9 ) dont work with HTML5 tags !
2. Because Notepad++ with complement Tidy2 indent, correct and export in XML ( It's great ! )

Thus, with CC HTML Editor + Notepad++, my files are HTML5 + XML = XTHML5

If my files are XHTML5, then they can be read by programs ( like simplexml_load_file() in PHP )

Recently, I create my micro-blog = many XHTML5 pages + one PHP page (= index.php )
This PHP page lists the titles of my XHTML5 pages and each title is a link to my XHTML5 page

Example on :
http://www.ledru.be/bernard/blog/feminism/index.php?titre

( Actually, you will see only 2 pages, it's not "many", because my blog is recent )

For example of XHTM5 file, look the code of this page
http://www.ledru.be/bernard/blog/feminism/regime.htm

CC HTML Editor can make XHTML5 files ? ( and if yes, how to do this ? )

Dunno if it can do XHTML files, but the version you're on is an old version and the newer version supports much HTML5 so you may want to check out updating to the newer version. :)

" ... updating to the newer version " ... for 69 $

I prefer to change to HTMLPad for 29 $

With HTMLPad, I can open Notepad++ with the current file ...
and HTMLPad has many other or better functionalities ...

See : http://www.ledru.be/bugs/HTML_Pad/why_HTMLPad.htm

Can you say me why CC HTML Editor is better than HTMLPad ?

Since I don't use either, I cannot say, but I can say that had you taken advantage of the discount when the update to the HTML Editor was first released as the current update, you probably would have paid the same or less than the other editor's fee. Just sayin' :P

I use SCSS. HTML editor will not handle SCSS which is really strange as its very simple to do to handle the SCSS extension just like a CSS extension. Notepad++ also has a plugin for SCSS.

I'm not sure if this works for "all" file types, but it might be worth checking to see if you can add that file type to the HTML Editor's files extension list. In the settings you should find the ability to add different file extensions for HTML Editor to open and view. Sometimes that is all that is needed, sometimes not. :)
