Moving HTML Editor to a different PC

I developed a web site on HTML Editor about 6 years ago and updated the pages up to a year ago. The HTML software was installed on an IBM T42 laptop running XP Pro.

The problem
The laptop is very erratic to boot up, sometimes 30 minutes to try and power it up. It's tired, understandable.

Can I transfer the original HTML software to another PC running any version of Windows, XP, 7, 8, 10?
This will make page changes more reliable until a replacement site is developed.

I have purchased a more current version of HTML Editor but have not downloaded it yet until I find out if the new web site can be developed on this single PC only running Windows 10. In other words can several people work on developing a new web site on different PC's?

You can install the software on up to three machines, but it is YOUR license, so it should only be used by you. If you want someone else to work with the same programme, you, or the other person, will have to buy a new license.

More than one person can work on the same project, but you risk making a mess out of it. What if one of you makes changes that the other person does not know about? You risk overwriting each other's work. But with strict dicipline between you it is possible.

Thanks Inger. Your comments are greatly appreciated.
As you can see I am not as active on this as I should be. Big problem is getting my old XP to work. That is where my 6 year old HTML Editor lives.

So I should be able to install the older version of HTML Editor on my new Surface Pro4 with Windows 10? Not sure if this is possible, XP to Win 10. Hope so. That way I can make some changes on my older wen site (version ? about 6 years ago) while I develop a new web site.

I am going to download the HTML Editor V 15.? (purchased a while ago but never downloaded) this week to develop a new web site now that I know it can be installed on my office, home and laptop computers all using Win 10.
