I just have to say that this was one of the most successful beta tests we've ever run. For those of you who didn't see it, we put a post up on Facebook looking for volunteers to try out the software. Users just like you gave us their valuable feedback, helping us improve the software by leaps and bounds. How 'bout a round of applause for our oh-so-helpful volunteers?

Now, what kind of updates are we looking at in the HTML Editor 2010SE? Well, the big one is that the program now supports HTML5 and CSS3! Those of you who follow web design trends know this is a pretty big deal; those of you who don't can learn all about these new innovations with our comprehensive PDF, Intro to HTML5 and CSS3. And everyone can use the new themes and layouts we created using HTML5 and CSS3.

If you don't own the HTML Editor yet, check out our current special and start using HTML5 and CSS3 today!

Registered users can download their free update here. And if you're interested in learning more, check out our PDF, Intro to HTML5 and CSS3.

I just purchased HTML Editor 2010 build 323 in the past month or six weeks -- any chance of an upgrade package?

So if I understand correctly, if we are current registered users of HTML Editor, we don't get the HTML5 and CSS3 PDF free like new users and need to pay the $9.00?

The reason I ask is that every other book that has been offered for purchase has to my knowledge always been offered to registered users for free.

Also can I use Hebrew TT fonts with websites created with HTML Editor?

New users don't get it for free. Geeze. They have to purchase it too. ;) You can see the special here at https://www.coffeecup.com/store/specials/editor2010/

Hebrew fonts are not supported in this version of the Editor.

Please advise how to replace my current HTML Editor version (2010 build 323) with the new one (2010 build 361). I am particularly concerned that the new installation might blow away the site layouts and themes I already have.

Thanks!

Yes, I looked just like that in 1962.

Just install over the old version and you will be fine. However, I HIGHLY recommend you backup your Themes and Layouts prior to installing just to be safe. When you install the update, the Themes and Layouts will now be moved to a new location. If you have custom themes, you will need to also move them to the new location.

Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings[USERNAME]\My Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Themes\HTML Editor

Windows Vista/7:
c:\Users[USERNAME]\Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Themes\HTML Editor

Further to previous message: I am REALLY LOOKING FORWARD to playing with this new version! By keeping the product fresh, you vindicate my decision to have purchased the HTML Editor a couple of years ago. Nobody wants to look stupid. You've made me look beyond smart, downright prescient in fact.

Have any idea about the adoption rate of HTML5 and CSS3? On the other side of the coin, MS-Explorer 6.0 never seems to die.......

New version adds a lot of  characters all over my page. The same page that was fine before the upgrade. ALL my text is screwed up with  characters and it looks very amateur now. This broke something that was working well.

I would suggest opening a support ticket so we can look into this. Send us the source file before any changes were made and tell us if you are using the code or visual editor and any other information that may help.
