Have a project and every time I work on the home page (home.php) I save the project. And the next time I open the project I have home page with the following code "<?php
Version=3
c:\xampp\htdocs\ecyd_handcoding\ecyd
10/07/2014 14:55:04
NO
NO
YES
NO
"

I have lost a lot of work because of this and I'm thinking of going but to note pad unless I can stop coffee cup rewriting my home pages all the time.

I guess the first and most obvious question would be, what version of the HTML Editor are you using?

I'm guessing that it is an older version since his last purchase order was in 2006. I would suggest getting the current version of HTML Editor. More info can be found here :

That is an extremely old version John. The most current version is 14. You should upgrade before you do anything else.

Coffee cup has a lot of good feature but it's got far too complicated for me. The version I have does all I want and more in this case more is rewriting files.
Will stick with this version or try and find an older version which works on windows 7.

John,
I'll just throw in my two cents here. The new version might be a little more complicated than you want right now, but as you get used to using it, you'll find that you are empowered by it. Give it a try. And as you can see by the responses here, you'll have lots of people to help you with questions.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.

Also, just use the features you're familiar with. Explore the new stuff some other time.
Don't forget, you can try it out for free. :D
Or maybe the free editor might be a good choice? http://www.coffeecup.com/free-editor/
