Error when creating a website project

I'm trying to create a website project in the html editor. I'm trying to use the Canvas Responsive theme.

I get this error message when I click on the OK button after entering the info in the form where we put the project name and location, etc..

'Cannot create file C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup HTML Editor\Settings\projects.ini'

I've been getting an error when I close the editor that says:

'Exception EFCreateError in module Coffee.exe at 0002574D.
Cannot create file C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup HTML Editor\Settings\projects.ini'

Could this be something with Windows 7 or should I put in a support ticket?

Or can someone point me to a knowledge base article to fix this?

I have a client that wants a site built using the Canvas theme. There's not a rush so no hurry. (But I do want to get started. A new project and all. :D)

Thanks,
Ernie

Reinstalling is the only thing I know to try.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I don't have the responsive Canvas theme, but I just created a project with the non-responsive and it all works great.

Let me ask this...did you have a 'space' in the project filename? Not sure if that would create a problem, but I don't use spaces.

If you find an answer, please post back and let us know!

I tried re-installing and that didn't stop the error message. Also I still get the second message when shutting the Editor down.

Tried naming the file with all lowercase and no spaces and that didn't work either.

I think I'll put in a support ticket and see if they have an answer.

In the mean time, is there any way I can get the theme file open in a text editor?

I know it's the Fourth of July so no rush on an answer.

I hope everyone has a safe holiday.

Ernie,

I run the editor in Windows 7 also, and, the only thing I can add is that I always run it as "administrator" these days, as before I would also get random strange errors -- tho not the ones you mentioned specifically.

OK, I guess I didn't know what to put in the search box on the support page.

This was a cleanup issue with an older version (2010).

For anyone else who has this happen here's the link to the article:

Thanks for all the replys,
