I think the answer is that it is not a "connection problem"...

The css validation of local files (Document > Validate CSS) consistently has not worked for me in version 14 and - if memory serves me right - in version 12. The error messages have varied somewhat, but most commonly I've experienced the lockup described in this thread and in the prior one that Gunsmoke gave a link to.

I found the answer given to one poster's support topic in the previous thread "...it is caused by Windows very strict security settings..." a bit odd, but I took it at face value and went the route of going straight to the CSS Validation web site for my validations.

Can you do me a favour. Download the trial version then try to do a scan of http://www.bobbiejoesbeauty.com . I have been getting Parser errors that i think in some way similar to what your having issues with. I have been told by cc that they are unrelated but for the sake of grasping at straws can you try?

For what it's worth, this is what I get from the HTML validation:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% … mp;group=0
and this from the CSS validation:
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/vali … mp;lang=en

To be clear, both of the above were obtained directly from the validator websites and thereby totally unrelated to Coffeecup.
Quite a number of things to take a look at, in addition to the parsing errors...

Mine will work most times. It usually fails when it takes a little longer.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Yeah Steve tried the site you mention and I've attached the results what I get, which is basically the same as you and it wanted to close the program down :(

Yeah it's very strange Eric, I can't get the CSS validation to work at all but I downloaded the trial version of V14 and that seems to work?? Any ideas? I think Per said that there were problems with both and there maybe, definitely with V12 I've tried shutting down the laptop and all the usual things but nothing seems to work :o:(

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
