Hi,

Trying to use Code Cleaner but not having any success, it does not change any of the formatting when OK is pressed.

Followed the instructions in the help file, nice and simple, but no joy.

Have just downloaded and installed the V14.0 Build 722 version but it still makes no difference.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Ive had mixed results with this. Really depends on what options you choose. Not really sure what to recommend to make it work for ya.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks Eric,

Will play a bit with more of the settings. From other posts I have seen it appears this has been an issue since 2008 so wonder if it has ever been fixed. The screen display makes one think that it is a wrapper over the tidy gui open source offering and am wondering if there is a missing plug in or file that would resolve the issue.

Have determined the problem.

A new basic HTML page formats fine with Code Cleaner.

However, my HTML pages contain new block level tags - section, header and footer and these are stopping the code cleaner in its tracks. Really need the options to allow user to define new tags plus other features as in Tidy-HTML. Have inserted an Application link to Tidy-HTML and this, though not very elegantly, provides the formatting as required.

Would ask that Coffee Cup Code Cleaner for HTML Editor be enhanced to provide more option selections to overcome this type of issue.

Very happy with HTML Editor but a bit disappointed that a workaround has been necessary to overcome the Code Cleaner deficiency.

I agree.
Since you obviously have been looking at the code cleaner in quite some detail, you may have additional suggestions for improvements. I think you should post your ideas in the suggestion thread where they are more likely to get the attention of the developers:

Try to be as specific, comprehensive and detailed as possible... ;)
