Whenever I make an animated gif, something crazy happens to the color.
I get weird pixel patterns all over it. Usually they are white, but sometimes other colors.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

I upload the gifs, then when I run the animation preview, at least one frame, usually more has freaky blotches of color all over it.

What am I doing wrong?

Oops - sorry.
I'm using GIF animator 7.5.

I uploaded an avatar of moving feet for an example.
It is the one which should appear next to this post.

All of that purple stuff just appeared. The carpet was all originally grey. Normally the color splotches are white, but in this case they are purple.

This never used to happen with older versions of the software, just in the last couple years (I don't use the program very often).

I must be missing something, because I get these random color patterns whenever I make an animated gif.

It looks like your original images have too many colours in them.
Remember gif files can omly have 256 colours. Reduce tour original files to a 256 colour mode max.
