Questions about the form in RFF.

Has anybody succeeded in making it work?
I'm rebuilding this honey site of mine, see my signature, old and new version. I wanted to keep as much as possible within RFF. It is an experiment, I have never used it for a project before, just bits and bobs to help others. So see the 2nd link in my signature, contact page.

When you insert a form container from the elements pane, you get the details like 'action' and 'method' to fill in, and when you add a submit button, you get the same things. I have the method of both set to post. Which of them is now to get the action 'mailto:you@domain.com'? If I set it on the container, nothing works. If I set it on the submit button, something happens: My Gmail account opens, and I have a ready-made mail with the details I filled in, that I can send to myself. It is not being sent directly from the page. I'm probably doing something wrong...

Next question: Has anybody tried adding a CAPTCHA to the form? I would like to have an easy to embed one, any recommendations?

Another question: Does anybody know a way to change the colour of the placeholder text? I would have liked to have the input fields transparent, but then the placeholder text disappears into the background. Any way to change the colour without hacking the css after export?

Working on it. I emailed the group.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Ok, I exported my RFF with a simple form and have a simple php redirect for the processor.
http://ericrohloff.com/coffeecup/ccforu … -formtest/
Steps
1. Add form element and set to POST
2. Add input to form.
3 Add button to form.
4. Set button type to Submit
5. You can't add php files to your resources so you'll need to add it after export or save your php file as a js file then add it to your resources and change the extension to php after export.

Hello Inger or Eric,

As per Inger instruction from my other post, I'm trying to set a custom attribute. When I click on custom then type in Placeholder this warning pops up. See attached image.

Any suggestions??

Thanks for the help.

What name are you using for the placeholder? Did you try another one?

That is strange. It works for me. I only get that warning if I type 'placeholder' with lowercase p. I used it with the previous version of RFF, haven't tried the new version, and right now I don't have time.

Eric, on which element did you add an address for 'action', the form div or the submit button?

That is because Placeholder is a reserved name. It was just a bug in the previous version that allowed it. We fixed it. ;)
