Wow am I really the only one so far to post a suggestion here?

Sheesh... here is my wish list.

1-This software is GLITCHY. I've had more trouble with Flash Blogger than any other CC software. Previews not working, buttons not working, files becoming corrupt, dissapearing, etc etc. I'm at the point where I am literally afraid to make changes to my flash blogger files because I never know when it will stop working. Hope that doesn't sound rude, :D, just want to point out this software needs, more than anything else, STABILITY! Part of the problem is that, sometimes, if you don't manually add the .xml extension to your file when you save it, then the next time you open it up all your entries are gone! This has happened to me twice. :(

2-Many people have suggested the need for the ability to add comments, as most blogs allow you to do so. I don't really use this software as a blog per say, I use it more as a "News Box" or a "What's new" box. It works very similar to a basic HTML iFrame in that it allows you to creatively fit more information in one spot of your web page than would otherwise fit there since it allows users to scroll through stories. If I ever do use it as a real blog, I would certainly want the ability to add comments.

3-The "Next" and "Back" buttons can be customized, but the images can't be any larger than the default images provided by Coffee Cup. I actually made buttons that said "Next Page" and "Back Page" because I wanted the buttons to be more visible, but the software wouldn't allow the increase in size of the button. That MAY be something I could correct by hand coding the .xml file, but figuring that stuff out takes so much time....

4-I'd like to be able to move entries around. Currently you can only choose to "reverse order" but I'd like to be able to drag and drop entries anytime I want to change the order that they appear in.

5-The "transition color" option only affects the top 1/3 of the box. (That's because the minimum height that Flash Blogger will allow is 152 pixels. That is what was causing the problems. Your technicians duplicated this problem, so hopefully it's already slated to be fixed in the next version.) Also, the transparency function does not work at all for me.

6-Even when the pixel dimensions are set CORRECTLY in the html code, the blogger box still is not fitting into the dimensions set for it. This doesn't happen on all browsers, but here is a screenshot:

So that's it! Thanks for all your help :D

Is this on the 64-bit system? or a 32-bit system? I'm wondering because although I've not published with blogger much (I think I did 3 or 4 uploads on one site) I have played around with it alot and not had any problems with stability. I'm using (when I'm forced to leave Linux-land) 32-bit mediocre home edition of Vista. Living the dream, stocking the cream :D

Just one more thing, I'd also like to be able to remove the date. As I use this more as a creative iFrame than a blog, I don't need dates on it. Chad Spillars

Since blogging is so important these days, I think including these features would make flash blogger perfect and possibly the best blogging platform on the web.'
1 - Ability to enable/disable comments
2 - Article archive so that you can search articles and find older ones
3 - ability to add html, important for embedding videos, pics, and more importantly ads for revenue

IF i think of anything else I'll add it, thanks

I just found out about this software today. I want to add a blog to my site, but I have a few questions:

1. Would I able to easily access my blog online using a USER ID and PASSWORD, much like www.blogger.com, or would it require a FTP program? Some computers (such as the ones in the company where I work) do not allow access to FTP, thus I cannot update my site whenever I want to.

2. Does your flash blogger have a comments feature? Because I want people to make comments on my blog.

I would appreciate if someone could get back to me.

Thank you.

Rafa

Maybe I've just missed it, but I would love the ability to add to the blog from the web instead of only through the Flash Blogger application. When I travel, I carry a Unix netbook, and can't use CoffeeCup applications. If I ever want to update my blog, I have to hack the XML instead of using a nice UI.

Before anyone suggests it, the netbook is an ASUS EEE 701, so I've only got 1GB RAM and a 4GB HDD, so running an XP VM isn't logical. Also, WINE and Coffee(cup) don't mix. :(

Hi Scott
I note there has been no updates to Flash Blogger since 2006.
Are there plans in the pipeline.
Is it possible to allow in a future version for a user to login and reply wth a comment about a blog.
Also any plans to allow other others to log in and create a new blog. Dave Butler

There are some updates planned, but it will not contain the ability for users to leave comments. For that, we will have our Guest Book software. ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~
