Yet again, I've forgotten how to add an entry to an existing blog. Guess I don't write often enough to get this down. I already had several entries, just wanted to add another one to this same blog (on my VSD site). Instead I accidentally started a new blog and wiped out my existing blog (second time ). So I'm starting over from scratch - copying everything from the .txt file. Decided I'd download the latest Blogger version and get going.
So I've started a new blog and I'm copying/pasting the original posts from the lost blog - but I can't change the date that shows under the title. I used to be able to change it in the older version. Is there some way to do this so I can have the original dates on the posts?
The other glitch I've run into is the border. On my old blog it ran around the outside edge of the blog box. Now it sits several pixels inside the box so the background color shows beyond the border. My html box and my blog are the same size, so I don't have any idea what to try.

For the future - how does one create a new entry? Not a new blog, just a single entry.

Still don't know what to do about the border - I turned it off, but my back/forward buttons are "shaved off" along the bottom where the border was before.

What size is the image you used? It looks as if all the default images are 50 x 20, so maybe your image is higher than that. Wonder if that might be the problem. http://www.venicefromtheinside.com

All you need to do is open up the xml file. Or you can edit the xml file with the editor yourself to add a new entry. The philosopher has not done philosophy until he has acted upon the mere conviction of his idea; for proof of the theory is in the act, not the idea.

Is there somewhere in that xml file to tell the border to get out of the inside of the blog and go around the outside edge instead?
Janys - I tried a few different sized buttons when I first started the blog, they all got cut off like that. Maybe they have to be rectangular. I'll make some new ones the same size as the default buttons and see how that goes.
