Hi Guys,
I just bought and downloaded the Flash Blogger and the Flash News Feed and think they are great BUT:
From the published example I expected that the Blogger would allow visitors to login and blog with me just like the blogs I am currently using on my websites. Also there are no navigation buttons to move from post to post which are also shown in example 1 on your sales website.
If I am missing something please tell me.
Although a little disappointed I will use the software as I think it is great but as is, it isn't a proper blog, just an on line personal diary.
Sorry, to windge as I do think your stuff is great.
Regards
David

I agree, I am a tad disappointed with this. it is nothing more than a diary. I have that with my forum already.
What are the plans for future releases of Blogger?

Hi
The first line of text you see when you go to coffeecup.com/flash-blogger is "Easily create and modify your own online journal !"
It does work similar to a Blog but does have a few limitations. Future versions will have more editing features and the ability for users to post back data.

Will the next version at least display the most recent entry? At the very least it should do that. Let's not get all hurt.
So far I like the software it has made a pain in the rear task into an easier one. But I agree that it has some downfalls. I would like the most recent blog to be first - no way to order them by date. And since I paid for the software it would be nice to have the option to remove the scroller at the bottom (I did give kudos to what software and a link to coffecup.) I use a couple of programs from coffecup and have been ever so pleased. Just hoping these changes can be made. Thanks for letting me sound off!

Scott,
No matter what the first line of your advert says this application is a "personal on-line journal" . However, It is really cute and I like it very much but I think it is not being unreasonable to ask a Blogger to Blog.
I would still heartily recommend this product as a 'personal on-line journal' and think that it will enhance any personal website but please listen to your customers, there are a few marketting possibilities here:
1. Sell this application as a personal on-line journal
2. Modify it slightly and sell it as an on-line diary for individuals, schools, clubs, etc.
3. Develop it into a reasonable on-line Blog
4. Develop the code into an online photo gallery where registered members can post photographs.
There must be more you can do with this code but then you guys are brilliant and I guess it should not be too long before we see the results of our feedback.
Buy it guys, it is a great little application. Just understand what its limitations are and you will not be disappointed.
Keep up the good work Scott -

This is an around the path way to fix the chronological order problem until the next update... if you edit the XML file that is made in the blog with Notepad or whatever and highlight & move the entries around, you can arrange them so that the most recent entry - <ITEM> - is at the top of the list. When the blog shows up on the web page it then displays in reverse chronological order or however you arrange it. A pain in the butt, but like I said it works.

Also, I just discovered that blog entries can be re-arranged into any order you like by editing the .txt file manually, and the xml file can left alone, it doesn't need changed each time you add an entry. (But don't expect the manually added entries to appear in the .xml file when you get back to your computer and open it using Flash Blogger, in fact Flash Blogger will probably write over the manual entries when you re-save the .xml file. I haven't finished testing this yet, but that's what I think will most likely happen, so you'll want to save your manually coded .txt file somewhere safe and avoid making any changes in the Flash Blogger software that cannot be made in the .txt file. If you do make the a change in Blogger, you'll probably have to manually replace the .txt file it generates with your own archived .txt file on the server.)
Each "item" is a different post.

Just copy this code and replace the "text" with your own text. It's that easy!
Update: Finished testing, Flash Blogger does not even recognize the .txt file when it has been edited. XML file opens up as a blank project. So as soon as you start manually editing the .txt file, you may find yourself unable to perform any future updates to the content of the blog using Flash Blogger software. You'll have to stick to using FB just for making design/formatting changes to your .xml file. Of course this is just my experience, you can always experiment on your own to see what happens.
