I've yet to complete a project without a CC program glitch impeding my progress. The latest and greatest...frozen hourglass when trying to preview a movie in firestarter. Anyone else experiencing this??

I'm starting to see a definite trend here, with all CC software--one must sacrifice program stability for user-friendliness (which is becoming more and more UNfriendly by the second!).

Hi Chris,
Did you go to add files under the settings tab and add the swf file, so it would work in preview?
How did you save your project, as I always select "save fire project" and have had no problems-sorry you are.:| "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

Hi Bruzer....when I originally created the movie, it was previewing and saving just fine--had even been uploaded to the server successfully. I decided to edit a few things and when I tried to preview the already saved file (this is in firestarter, after making adjustments), I get the eternal-hourglass. Only way out of the program is the old "three finger salute". I go back in, avoid previewing altogether, and just try to save the changes and it won't produce the new SWF code.

Hope that makes sense...

Could it possibly gotten confused sense your asking to view the original, vs the updated without saving? Try saving your project so it overwrites the swf and see if that helps. "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

I have a flash firestarter movie that i wish to place on my website (but not on the MAIN page). I want to have the flash link to one of my other pages then go to my video page.
In Flash firestarter i sent the URL for the end of the flash to go to Http://videos.html. when i preview it gives me the oops page not found message.
I take the link out and my flash firestarter movie is fine.
What is wrong with my link to go to my video page?
Thank you, anyone.

Hi Mary is your URL starting with a capital H as above? ANd thats not a complete address. You would need the website addy and folder if any.

If so that might be the problem, but if its a file within your site you don't need the http://
just the file name and the folder its in if its in a separate folder. I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.
