Before I start ranting, I'm a HUGE fan of CC software and never had an issue with any program in the past that I have not been able to speedily resolve.

However, Firestarter is absolutely doing my head in! All I need is a simple image gallery containing 4/5 images that fade in and out on a loop. I've looked everywhere on this forum and the tutorials but cannot find anything that simply outlines how to do this.

Is it not possible that somebody from CC could just submit a timeline image showing how this should be layed out as I've wasted all weekend trying umpteen combinations of image layers/transparaties/blankspace, etc, etc?

To add to my woes, the 'Test Your Flash' option doesn't work so I have to upload the whole project including my HTML page just to test it.

Thanks in advance! Internet Marketing Consultancy

Hi Keith,
If you were to keep your swf with your html page (offline) you should be able to view your project. Here is a general idea of what you can do.

Thanks for that.

Alas, I must be far more stupid that I'd realised. I have copied numerous timelines of this sort but still can't get it to scroll seamlessly. Even just using two images seems to create a complete mess! The biggest problem is that when the movie ends and scrolls to the front, the first image just appears rather than fading in as it's supposed to.

The URL for my test page is www.avara.co.uk/indextest.php and the flash is in the header.

Any advice on where I'm going wrong on this would be hugely appreciated. Internet Marketing Consultancy

I've got Flash Firestarter, but I find that I don't use it much.

I created an image gallery for my neighbors site (http://www.westerntechnologyllc.com) that has several pictures that it scrolls through and I used CC Photo Gallery. (I don't know if you have Photo Gallery or not but I recommend it.)

You can set the size, how you want it to scroll, etc very easily.

I want to do something similar but across the top section to this website. How do I go about creating the simple 4 image fade in/out? Is it just like Jorgey's example but instead of it being 2x2" make it larger and across the top?
If so can you give me an idiots guide (as i am one:rolleyes:) on how to do it thanks

Hi Suzanne, you can have a look here and see what you think if may help or not.http://www.kellyinfo.com/zipfiles/Fade_InandOut.html

Keith:
sometimes the first image will have a slight space before it, even a hair gap will make it blink like that so make sure your first image is all the to the left without error, if none you could try Tom's suggestion.. please let us know:) "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

Mmmm....

I've attached the timline image, can't see any space before the movie begins, it starts with a fade-in and ends with a fade-out and I've cleared my browser cache.

I've added/removed blank space to see if that's the problem and it isn't.

Any other suggestion....anyone...please!!!
