Ok, thanks I will do that.
I am a bit confused myself. I have the latest version of Adobe flash. I get pestered all the time to update.
I tried Firestarter and so far no problems. I do have Swish somewhere but that was overkill.
So what is the deal now. Firestarter works for me. The Guy from OZ

Hiya Prism,
I think it's because you came in very extremely late in the game on this issue lol. It was definitely an issue when this thread was started, but Adobe has already fixed the issue. Now we're just waiting on CC's decision on if they will revive the program. It all works fine now though so it's all good

+ 1 for firestarter
it was always a lot of fun and I have done some neat stuff with it.
If you make a new replacement for it, I will buy it,,, after the depression of 2001 is over,, maybe a few more years, if Europe doesn't collapse.

Has the decision to actually discontinue firestarter or not been made???????
Not yet...

At this time it is still under the Discontinued list. It has not been decided yet whether or not it will be reinstated to active.

Ya that sucks. It was such a good program. I just came to see if there was an update and found out the news that is has passed on. Anyhow tis not your fault. Keep up your good work. Cheers, Brent
That's a shame. Firestarter was the first program I ever bought from Coffeecup, and I was soon to find out they offered the best customer service of any online company.
I found this topic because I've been on the hunt for my old registration code for the software, and had to use the Wayback Machine to remember how it was purchased lol (it was a Red Cross donation promo after 9/11/2001). Sadly I didn't know about the Adobe issue, but I'm glad I do now - it will save me a lot of time.
Anybody who takes that exchange deal for granted is a dick. These guys are willing to go above and beyond for any of their customers - and the fact that they survived the .com crash and are still going strong after16 years is a testament to that.
I'll be a customer for life. RIP Firestarter, you were fun in your day!

Nicely said. CC is a good company and works hard to keep it that way. (I do not know how they afford too but they do!)
