OK! I'm stressed!! Despite all the pills I have to take o counteract it.......I'm stressed!!!

I've spent all bloody day trying to get to grips with this....but it just doesn't work!!!! I can't charge my clients for the gross inefficiencies of CoffeeCup software!! Oh that I could!! Are you guys just operating out of a garden shed, with a bunch of juvenile geeks......or are you serious about 'customer service'?

Jeez......CC software seems to be riddled with problems. I have only bought 3 programs (thank goodness!)....yet all 3 have deficiencies that are beyond belief!

I'm an oldie......and programmed in Cobol, Fortran etc as a youngster and dealt with software companies producing quality database systems etc. I produced programmed packages for major UK companies in those days!

We were 'serious' about what we did/produced. Yet CoffeeCup seems to think that everything is just a joke!! Well, I'm past laughing!

My latest catastrophe is a Firestarter issue which is just unbelievable. Please.....have a look at http://www.derekosgood.co.uk/ ..... and note the 'Latest News' object.

Every time I save the darned thing, it reduces in size!! Now I can't read it without a magnifying glass!!! WHY?!!

There are SO MANY ways in which CC software could be improved.......but all you do is launch products which have major flaws and you DO NOT provide a good manual or a good service for your customers! And why should pweople like me 'give' you all the answers about your naff software, just so that you can make money at our expense?!!!

I've tried to be 'kind' about the problems I've encountered, but I'm at the end of my tether! Now, I'm livid!

Sooo disappointed. :(

Dave, I think CC programmers are beyond reproach and create quite ingenius programs. They also have the best support on the planet. I bet if you opened a support ticket they would be more than happy to help you. Or, if you at least give us some information regarding the actual problem with firestarter we might be able to help you here on the forum. We find here in the forums the majority of the time an issue is raised much like what (and how) you have raised it, that it is related to user error and not programming.

So test us on this. You have had three problems with CC software. Post in three forums your three problems and I bet within a week you have all the answers you need. If not, then yes, we suck and you can move on.

Cheers,

Wow. A little frustration and people lose their mind.

Please don't confuse your ineptness at using the products correctly with the quality of the CoffeeCup products. Many, many people use these same products every day without difficulty.

Being an ex programmer, you should be able to pick up CSS, HTML, and Action Script quite easily so you won't have to rely on the WYSIWYG GUI.

The reason the Flash displays so small is because that is the dimension the page tells Flash to display the movie.

If you need help, there are the user guides and this forum. Good luck! CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

I never understand why people come to vent like this without ever asking us for help first. Dave, why would you not open a support ticket and at least give us the opportunity to help? ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~

Sorry here but I fully disagree with your comments. CC does not only create new software they are constantly updating there software to provide the best software possible... and you get updates for free if you have purchased it. I can not say this for a lot of other software out there.

If you are having problems with the software this is what the forum is for, all you have to do is ask for help and you will get it from a lot of people who will be glad to help you.

If you've had so much trouble you should have asked for help sooner, "before" you're so stressed that you blow up about software when as The Joker said, it's basically user error not program error in most cases.

Also keep in mind one really MAJOR thing here. We are "users helping users" here and although you'll get a post here and there from the staff, more from Scott than others, this is still a user forum not the Support forum for getting help from the software developers. If you're having that much difficulty put in a ticket like you should have already done and get the support you need "BEFORE" you lie about it and say how bad it is. It's pretty rash to totally trash a company's Support that you've never bothered to ask for yet lol. Jo Ann

Hi
I'm pretty annoyed after Firestarter has crashed twice, losing everything I'd done when I was nearly finished. I'm using 7.3 under Windows 7. It does it when I try to add an effect - not every time, just often enough for me to tear my hair out after losing 3 hours work!
In fact I've found that Firestarter is the only software that I've experienced this with. Since upgrading to W7 everything else is stable.

Martin, I also see you have never opened a support ticket as well. If you are having problems, at least give our support system a try. I am sure we will be able to help you out. ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~

They also get a Spidey dance.
