Hi

I've just bought Direct FTP after using the free version for years. Now, I can't upload files it just fails every time and I get the error message: [500] 'EPRT |1|86.28.200.76|33916|': command not understood.

I tried changing the permissions for a file and it says: When sending custom QUOTE commands to the remote server, one of the commands returned a 400 or higher error code. [21] Additional information: QUOT string not accepted: SITE CHMOD 0222 booking.htm.
Server has replied: [500] 'EPRT |1|86.28.200.76|34491|': command not understood 'SITE CHMOD 0222 booking.htm': command not understood.

Any suggestions?

Unless someone comes in with anything definite, you might be wise to take this to the support team. I'm afraid I have no idea what this is about. http://www.venicefromtheinside.com

Have you tried editing your FTP settings and check the box "Passive mode" to see if that helps? Also, go to Help Menu > About and make sure you are on 6.7 build 1822

If you do still have problem, open a support ticket and we can help you get this fixed.

Hi Scott

I've tried checking the box 'passive mode' and I'm definitely on 6.7 build 1822 and now I get the error message: 550 access is denied.

??

I would suggest opening a support ticket so one of our techs can look into this for you.
