I love the new version, but I miss being able to see what has uploaded in the lower window where now the only choices are Editor or Images. How will we know progress of upload or download? Any chance that will be added back? http://www.gabiclayton.com/

Best I can remember, it's been a couple days since I used it.
On the very bottom of the Direct FTP program window you'll see an action line when file is loaded up or down, if you click on that line a window will open showing the actual loading and what is in que.
But I agree, I like the interactive window instead.

Me to. I clicked on another directory before it was done because I was use to just looking in the lower window. I thought I had just missed the upload because I was multi tasking. I can't hear what I'm looking at when it's so easy to overlook something I'm not looking for.

That functionality is still there. Hit Control-T to bring up the Transfer Activity Window. You can also click anywhere in the status bar to bring it up as well.

Eeeek! its a horrible window (it does not dock and and just gets in the way) , Please make it dock able or change it back :) I like to see what's happening especially when FTP can sometimes be time consuming.

I would have to concur with the rest, I miss that option too and in fact was hoping for an option that would allow "only" that window to show at the bottom instead of all 3 as it used to be. That was one of the things that I wanted to request and just always forgot. I would love to see that window dockable at the bottom all by itself without the 2 other tabs for Editing. Jo Ann

Okay thanks for how to access the popup window. That helps. I do agree with others that the old way of having the choice for the bottom section was preferable. Its rare that I use the ftp program to edit code or look at images although I have used both and like having them there too. http://www.gabiclayton.com/

Here is an article we wrote that explains why we did this and why it works the way it does.

As always, we are open to suggestions on how to make things beter. Make sure to post these suggestions here at http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/direct- … -free-ftp/ so they are not lost.

I think I'll be ok with the new version the way it is. Just a matter of getting use to it.;) I can't hear what I'm looking at when it's so easy to overlook something I'm not looking for.
