The drop down list on the menu I created is spaced way too much. I need to tighten it up. Is there a way I can change the font on the drop down also?

If you still have the .mnu file that was created when you first saved your menu, you can open that in the DHTML programme and edit all you want.

If you don't have it, you can play around with the values in the upper part of the script, in the section that says: 'YOU CAN MANUALLY CHANGE THE MENU HERE, BUT BE VERY CAREFUL !' When you read this help article:
http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … variables/
you'll see what the different variables do and what options for editing you have. Ha en riktig god dag!

I've gone over the variables list and tried to understand what I specifically want to do, tighten up the drop down list and change the font on the drop down list and I wasn't able to figure out what I could do. I did make a couple of changes, color for one and when I tried to save and open in the software, it wouldn't open. I used a copy so I still have the original. I still don't exactly understand the placement options, either, specifically the xy placement. How do I find that on my page?

I'm really hoping I can get this figured out so I can use it. All help is appreciated...

Marcia,

I am guess that you want the drop downs to take up less vertical room. If so, then you can adjust the height of each item on the sub menus.

If you can give more detail about what you want, if it can be done, we will help you get it done. Bill R.

Because I want a border around the root item, it's been difficult to adjust. I've found that if I create each root item as it's own separate menu, it works ok.

My next problem is getting it to go into my website. I've tried all the recommended ways to do it and it still doesn't show. I will keep trying though.

Each menu item has a border by default.

Are you trying to have multiple DHTML menus on each page? I don't think that is possible.

Can you provide a link to the site? It may be a simple fix if we can see the code on the site.

I am not sure what you are asking here. On the options tab, you will find some positioning settings. I generally leave these at the default, and position my menus using other methods. Bill R.
