I have created a DHTML menu after giving up on the flash menu due to it's erratic behaviour. I have used BillR's tips to address the positioning issues ( Thanks Bill!) My problem is that when trying to view using Firefox browser only a tiny little 1/2" portion of the menu shows up all the way at the bottom left of the page. When using IE browser preview, it displays fine.
My version is 2.1. Any one have any ideas on why this would happen? Member of the lumpen proletariat. Another cog in the wheel. Possibly a major pain in the ass soon.

Poolman,
A link would be a great help.
Do you have the menu enclosed in a span?
Is the span ID entered in teh DHTML menu code? Bill R.

Hey Bill,
I added your span info to the code and it works fine in IE. Firefox is another issue. I get about 1/2" showing at bottom left page. Here is the code. Member of the lumpen proletariat. Another cog in the wheel. Possibly a major pain in the ass soon.

Hi Poolman,
try this http://kellyinfo.com/MyFiles/tutorials/DHTMLSPAN.htm
you need to remove this part from the top
<script type='text/javascript'>
and remove this from the bottom
</script>
<noscript>Your browser does not support script</noscript>
</span>
then resave it
and this is the code that goes on the pages
<span id="menu">
<SCRIPT type="text/javascript" SRC="mymenu.js"></SCRIPT>
</span>
BIllR has better knowledge of this, but this is how I have it.
Looks good to me Poolman! IE7 and FF3.0.8 "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

Are you saving the menu as a javascript file and calling it from inside the span? If so, Bruzer has the idea about how to do that.
Your code looks correct for the menu. I have no idea what code you are using on the page that may affect how the menu is displaying.
I understand if you do not want to provide a link to the test page. It is possible that the CSS (style code) is correct for IE and not for Firefox.
I looked on the page listed in the menu, but did not find a CC DHTML menu on that page. Bill R.

I have not published it with th dhtml menu yet. It is currently online with the flash menu which I do not like because it's "sticky" erratic operation. I have the dhtml menu on my site on my computer while using the Firefox browser preview in VSD.
It works fine when viewed with IE. If need be I guess I can publish it so you can see it, but only if need be. Member of the lumpen proletariat. Another cog in the wheel. Possibly a major pain in the ass soon.

Bruzer,
I looked there. There is not a menu there that is made using the CC DHTML menu builder. Bill R.
