Hi. I was wondering if anybody could help me solve this problem. I've made a drop-down menu with CC DHTML Menu Builder. I checked "Border Between Menu Items," but when I insert the code into CC VSD and do a preview, the only borders it shows are on the top and left sides of the menu. The border does not show on the right side, bottom, or between the menu items. I THINK it showed correctly in VSD Preview the first few times I made some test menus, but then not thereafter. Also, the borders show properly when I run a preview in the CC DHTML Menu Builder program.

Is there a glitch somewhere in the code its creating or is it something else with VSD or the preview feature in VSD? I'm not good with code, but although I can mess around with the code in the beginning of the code to change some things, below where it says "Don't Edit Anything Below This Line . . . " I don't know if the error is buried in there somewhere. Here is the code:

Hi, Bill. No, I haven't uploaded the page to my website yet. I was hoping for somebody to see the post and say "oh yeah, that happened to me, and I just . . . ." It may be a product of the VSD preview messing something up, and it will be fine once its uploaded. I've had a couple other issues over the years that seemed to be caused by the VSD viewer but resolved once uploaded.

If anybody out there has had this issue before, I'd appreciate some guidance.

I thought I'd update my problem from yesterday. By installing the new dat zip file that BillR and others have provided links to in other posts, for some reason the DHTML menu is appearing correctly in my CC VSD preview. I thought the replacement dat file was only useful to make the menu visible in Firefox, and while I use IE, for some reason, it apparently resolved my issue too. Not sure why. All's well that ends well.

I asked the same question in my post of Sept 29th 2008, but got no answers to my post:
Free DHTML Menu builder IE7 and Left or Top Padding.

You see your borders in all browsers ONLY with Left and Top Padding set to 0 (zero). If paddings are not zero you have an offset problem.

Test in IE7, FF3 and Opera 9.5 and you will see the problem. This causes that you can't center the menu text in a nice way. Use border colour black when testing.
