Hello

I am trying to create mouseover buttons for my webpage but i'm finding this to be quite a feat.

I created a round button and upon mouseover, the button should show a glow.

When I tried to preview this effect, I got the following error:

"Error on page: index

Cause: A mouseover object must not intersect with other objects on the page."

The mouseover and initial object are not selected. Can anyone guide me down the right path to fixing this?

Nevermind. I solved the issue. I simply had to make sure that all images were marked "show original" on the mouseover options before saving and previewing.

I am making tabs for my web pages. I have just copied buttons from the button file and then
linked them to various pages. When I save the site (on VSD), I get the errors that I have used
.png files and blah blah (don't understand what that is about), but the site works fine in the preview.

However. Now I am getting an error when I try to save the latest changes that a 'mouseover effect
should not intersect with another object'. I have not (knowingly) created any mouseover effects.

In case I cannot use the tabs I've made (which I quite like), I also have the Flash Menu Program.
I tried to make a menu, but could never get it to be added to my trial site. (I haven't uploaded anything
yet to the server, but want to soon). Can I : 1) use the tabs I've made instead, and if so, how do I
get rid of the error messages for them (being they are .png files) but they were in the CoffeeCup
button folders?
2) If I have to make the menu instead with the Flash Menu program, how do I do that and can I
see the menu without the Preview, or can I only see the tabs by saving and previewing?
If that is so, how does one edit the menu to fit with the rest of the website?

3) What is this error re: mouseover objects about??

Are you using the latest version of VSD (Visual Site Designer)? Also, you might go ahead and upload your site, it's easier to find out what's going on if someone can see the actual site and code. You can get some help to figure this out before anyone even knows it's there.

The mouse over error your getting means that your buttons are to close together. try separating them further apart by nudging them using the arrows key 1px at a time see if that helps with that.

If you do have to use the flash menu then I would suggest using the flash tool to add your menu, it will automatically add all the necessary files, but you'll have to draw a box like when you use the html tool, the menu won't be visible other then in preview. But I do not see why you can't use your tabs and link them individually. When you link your pages in either menu there is no need to use ( http://www.yoursite.com) just use ( your page name.html) for the links.
