VSD trial locking up on startup -...

I'm a registered user, but I wanted to show an interested client how they could update some pages so we downloaded the latest VSD trial and after installing twice, it's still doing the same thing: when the welcome/new project window pops up for the first time, it has some expanded transparent area to it and none of the check boxes or buttons respond. The program is locked and I have to force quit. VSD works fine on my own system... I've never seen this problem before. I'm not in front of the problem computer now, but I believe it was Win 7. Anybody seen this glitch........?

Have you tried this.
Configure the shortcut to always run as administrator. Here's how:

1. Right-click the shortcut icon, and click Properties.
2. Click the Compatibility tab.
3. Here, put a check mark by Run This Program as an Administrator.
4. Next, put a check mark next to Run This Program in Compatibility Mode For: and ensure Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 is selected.
5. Click OK.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I did see a mention about that later.... I'll try it tomorrow. My system is set up with myself as admin, so I've never encountered that problem, but the computer at the non-profit has user profiles, I do believe... Thanks.

Hiya Gary,

Whether you run your "system" as Admin or not doesn't seem to matter to software when it needs this setting. So it could even happen on your system Gary even though you already run your system as Admin. Not sure why that is, but I too have had some issues with software (not all CoffeeCup software, but others too) that I had to set that setting on to run as Admin, and I run as admin on my system too. :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
