trying to locate correct path where...

I'm trying to locate the correct path where my image files reside so that I can place a link to them.

The sample code I have so far is this:

<B>View Sample images<A href=" http://MyWebsite.com/files/MyImages.jpg" target=_blank>My ImagesSample 1 </A></B>

I am guessing that I am missing the root directory text somehow and need to include it. Can anyone please take a look at the code above and help me?

Hi there Holly, I believe you created a new post by mistake as I answered your questions on your last post. However I will post here too:

I would not post images to the "files" folder as VSD will re-write this folder every time you publish your website.

Create another folder on your server and store your images there. Then point your url to them.

Thats correct. Just create a new folder on your computer where your website files are and dump your images in there. Then upload that folder the way you would normally do. Then reference the new location in the url of your a href .

I'm not sure i know how to do this. I had been under the impression that the whole point of the WYSIWYG software was to make it easy for us non code people to work, LOL
I already have the images on my computer, but i do not know how to upload the folder.

In VSD us the image tool on the left hand panel to add images to your site.;) Add these images to a dedicated folder on your pc before you add them to your pages so you don't move them by accident. This folder can be any where as long as it's not inside the mywebsitename_website folder that VSD generates when you save your site.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I'm not sure what's she is trying to do...but in VSD you can simply ADD your images folder and files to VSD using Edit/Add Files from the menu. Point your links to the files in this folder. When you publish from VSD your images folders will be uploaded along with everything else.

If you want to create links to images rather than just posting them directly into your VSD website you need to be able to upload a folder to your server. Can I assume that you are using Website1and1.com? They will have provided you with a control panel to log into.

There is a more technical way to do it as well using an FTP program but I'm trying to make this process a little more simple.
