We're have a little trouble with our current hosting providers, so I'm considering just switching to CoffeeCup all together. I've already successfully uploaded the website to the FREE .coffeecup.com domain, but would like to build the web site for my actual domain name before switching the DNS record. How do I that? Do I need to purchase the hosting service first? Will CoffeeCup let me create the site with my actual domain name before I switch the DNS record?

We would be happy to transfer your domain at no charge.

To transfer your domain, we will need a transfer authorization code for each domain which your existing registrar will be able to provide you. Please be sure that the domain is not currently locked and if so have it unlocked before getting the transfer code generated. If you also have domain privatization enabled, you should turn that off as well. Once the transfer request has been submitted a verification email will be sent to the email address that is currently registered to the domain. Confirm this email with your registrar. Lastly, we will need your full contact information for the DNS public record and I will get your accounts created and everything setup on our end. Please send that information by opening a support ticket.

Now if you don't want to transfer the domain over to S-Drive, you can leave it with your existing registrar and then just point the A Record over to our server. The IP address is 66.223.62.9. Once you make the DNS changes, let me know and I can then associate it with your account.

Please Note: Our portal with Network Solutions does not allow country specific TLD's (.co.uk, .ie, .mx etc..) If that is your domain, you would have to leave the domain with your current registrar and adjust the DNS to point to S-Drive following the instructions listed above.
