Is there a way to run a simple database get PHP script within VSD? I have a form builder form that inserts into the DB and now I want to display that data on the page?

Yes you can do this. I recommend making the necessary page .php outside of VSD then add the page to your site. Next place an iframe on your page in VSD pointing at the .php page.
