Are you using the image tool in VSD?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I deleted and/or switched enough photos to finally get a site that previewed correctly. Published it and, of course, several photos do not appear at all.

I would manually delete everything off the server and resync your site.

Bill, make sure when you run VSD you 'Run as Administrator'. Make sure in your FTP Settings that you are using Port 21, and check the box to use 'Passive Mode'. Just a couple of things to check. If all this is okay, and your site still will not upload, try using an external FTP program such as CoffeeCups DirectFTP ( or the FREE version ) or Filezilla. See if you can upload your site using one of those or if you still come up missing files. If you are still missing pictures and what not, check the directory on your computer where VSD saved it's files and see if that picture is there. If none of that helps ... um ... I'll keep thinking.

What photos are missing?
Have you tried refreshing your browser? (Ctrl + F5 on PC)

A few things that can cause problems:
- Huge image – this should be resized before inserting it on the site:

2,048px × 1,536px (scaled to 115px × 101px)
- Space in the image name – replace the space with a dash:

- It's best to be consistent with your image names; all lowercase for name and file type is normal/safe.
