Money down the drain..?

For 15 years I have been using Microsoft's FrontPage2002 WYSIWYG HTML editor. When I was forced into buying a new a new PC, I was also forced into getting a operating system that was designed by Lord Billy Gate's kids for use with their toys. Unfortunately, I was using FrontPage2003 or I wouldn't have a compatibility problem. So I asked Coffeecup what would be a good replacement and I was simply told to try the trial versions of HTML Editor and Visual Site. Downloading these programs WAS NOT an easy task, because of running Services of mine that didn't like what I was doing. So I ended up buying Visual Site without actually trying it. I think that this was a big mistake... I simply have over 60,000 HTML webpages that I need to make changes to on a regular basis. From what I can tell, Visual Site is not a WYSIWYG HTML editor. It does not want to save in .html. Maybe I should have purchased HTML Editor program.

I think that it would be best if I gave up on Visual Site and purchase a copy of FrontPage2003. Then I will have what I want and require. GOT ANY COMMENTS?

Well, I'm on drugs so I'll bite. VSD was never touted (that I know of) as an HTML editor. It is a WYSIWYG editor. It creates web pages based on a visual design created by the user. It does save these pages in HTML format. Very nicely I might add. If you want to simply edit HTML pages that are already created, or created using another program or to create new HTML pages from scratch, then the HTMLEditor is the program you would want. I can't imagine making frequent changes to 60,000+ web pages but VSD was certainly never meant for anything like that! You said it yourself, it was a mistake to buy without trying it out. Another would have been not coming to the forum and asking users like yourself about the program and what it could and could not do. We don't work for CoffeeCup, although some CC employees do drop by. Most of us are simple users like yourself. If you ask nicely you will get all kinds of advice on what you need to do, how things work, and different approaches for different situations. Most users here are quite friendly and rarely bite.

Bottom line, if you're mad at Microsoft, don't take it out on CoffeeCup. The programs here are great and the support is above and beyond the call of duty. Not to mention the forum users who can add quite a bit to the discussion.

If you have a problem, or need help, simply explain your problem then ask nicely.

You say you were told by Coffeecup. Now obviously that wasn't anybody in the forum because you only have one post. Did you tell Coffeecup that you were looking at working on 60k pages? I don't think they would have recommend you try to redo that many pages with VSD. If you did tell them how long ago did you make your purchase? If it was very recent and you fully disclosed all the info of what you where doing I would open a support topic. And as Gunsmoke states be nice.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
