Yesterday, I attempted twice to open a new support topic, but neither time did it appear in my support room after I was done, so now I am wondering if customer support ever got the topic. If not, the topic is as follows . . .

Over the weekend I made some adjustments to my website, and published it. When I got online the website was totally messed up. Several elements were in the place of others - it looked nothing like it was supposed to. Yesterday I attempted to re-sync and publish, but I could do neither. A dialogue box kept popping up telling me there was an error and to check several things such as firewall, directory, passwords, etc. - I Checked these things, but nothing was wrong and it still doesn't let me publish. Please Help. Thanks.

Hi there Philip,

Are you using VSD to upload your website or are you using some other FTP client?

Did you try ctrl+ f5
The site doesn't look messed up to me.:) I might not know what to look for. Can you provide details?

It looks all messed up for me.

Do you see how not all the background is showing up? and the second menu item button is missing. I think that's what she is referring too.

Hmm... Did you go into your Publishing settings and run a test on them. This may tell you why its having problems with the upload.

It isn't as messed up today, but VSD still isn't letting me publish or re-sync. I tested another site yesterday too, and although it didn't let me finish publishing this site, there were several elements missing as well. It seems to me that it is updating/publishing to the point that I get the error message.

I would definitely try to open another support ticket. If I were you I would reinstall VSD and give it another try.

Also try deleting the ftp settings and re-adding them.

I would suggest you use an FTP client and delete all your website files manually. Once you do that, Re-Sync.
