I am trying to add some pictures, and they are not showing up. Am I missing something?

Hi there Tara,

I have had this problem before too. Have you tried re-publishing your website?

On occasion I have had to manually move the images to the "files" folder. You may need to do this too.

The first 3 pics, new1, new2 and new4.jpeg were not found in the directory /files

Did they get uploaded somewhere else? Or you just missed them? Upload those files and you should be good.

I did upload them (just to the Root). Also tried publishing again with FileZilla, and still not showing up.

They don't go in the 'root'. They go in /files/ off of the root.

This is the line from your page...
<div class="Object1221"><img src="files/new1.jpeg" alt="" width="249px" height="245px"></div>

I just tried adding a folder called "files" and it wouldn't let me.. I am confused because the other pictures that are showing up are all in that same Root folder. Should I organize them differently?

Do not add a file named files to your VSD site.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Your 'image1.jpg' is showing in the /files directory. Wherever you put THAT file, put new1.jpeg and it should show up.

I did :( Every picture is just uploaded into the Root - with no folders. And its just the 3 new images that don't show up.

I'd do it all again. It really shouldn't matter where you add the files to in VSD, but I would create a directory called 'images' and put them all in there. I would not create a directory called 'files' because VSD usually uses that directory.

The images showing on your site such as 'image1.jpg' are showing NOT because they are in the ROOT, but because they are in /files/ and that is where VSD is looking for them.

All of your images should be in the same directory. I don't know how you added them to your site, but something went wrong. I'd remove them, delete them off the server, then re-add them to VSD. Then re-sync your website.

Shortcut would be to simply copy those pictures to your /files/ directory with an FTP program, but if you make the wrong change later you may break the site again. I'd start over with removing and re-adding your pictures to VSD.

On a side note, I wonder, those are the ONLY images that are jpeg instead of jpg. I wonder if they uploaded to a different directory because of that? Shouldn't have. But if re-loading them doesn't work, you might try and convert them to jpg and then add them to the site. You can use a free program called photoscape (google it) to convert them.
