I have a Go Daddy account which is active. I tried to connect via the FTP Settings menu on Visual Site Designer and keep getting an error message that the host can't be found. I called Go Daddy and they confirm that my ID and password work. I can connect directly with an ftp: adress. No one answers the phone at CoffeeCup. Is this softward compatible with Go Daddy. Any suggestions. Thanks

We are here but on Fridays we close for lunch for 12-2. You should have no problems at all uploading to Godaddy. If you are getting a message that the host cannot be found, that means you have entered in the wrong domain name of your server. You need to double check all of those settings again.

I use Go Daddy and have no problems uploading via a separate FTP product or Visual Designer. Nothing special had to be done except to check the passive mode. If your still having problems i can take a screen shot of my settings for you

Did you check the "passive" mode option?

I also have no problem with GoDaddy. Just remember that the starting point on their server is a / .... and then the folder if you are putting this in a separate one. Do not use Ftp or www or anything else.

I have the same except my ftp server starts with www. and I have no problems at all, except when I don't have passive mode checked, but that only has an issue during upload not while connecting.

For other subdomains I have to put in directory names in WWW Folder but not for default.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
