I'm adding a new website to my ftp account and each time I attempt to save my info i receive the following message:
"One or more of your FTP settings are incorrect you may use only one of the following characters.......uper lower case, digits 0-9 etc. etc.
unfortunately I can't copy the entire message, otherwise I would, but the problem is that I am using just the characters that are allowed. It still won't allow me to save my info. I've had this problem happen time and time again in the past and it usually corrects itself but I don't have a lot of time to waste with this. can anyone help me?

This site is not secure so I wouldn't post any of your FTP info here.
You might want to open a support topic so CoffeeCup can help you out. They are secure. Just go to your name in the top right and scroll down to 'Your Support Room' to open a topic. I'm sure they can help you.

Thanks for the good tip Gunsmoke. I appreciate that.
While I was waiting for a response on here, it seems to have cleared up again.
This has happened more than a few times in the past and after repeated attempts at trying to save the same exact info it finally goes through. I have no idea why , as I don't change anything, I jjust keep trying. It's almost like there is a hiccup of some sort. Either way, it's now working again, so that's one less problem to deal with.
Have a great week and thanks again!:)

Glad its working for you. May simply have been a 'noisy' internet connection. Even with DLS/Cable setups sometimes there is excessive noise and simply re-connecting will clear it up. Who knows . . .

Hey Holly,

I to have had this happen to me from time to time as I have over 35 ftp accounts set up. I had one account that was particularly bad and would always error out. What I did to fix this was Delete the entire FTP account and recreate it. Not sure why this resolved it but I haven't had a problem since.

Could have been a corrupted file on your disk. That's a good tip too. Thanks for posting Steven.
