Create an email in VSD?

Is it possible to use VSD to create emails? I am trying to send out some emails (with the words and pictures in the body of the email, as opposed to attached) and I am wondering if it is possible to do this in VSD. If not, is there another coffeecup program that will do this?
I know that there are online programs (e.g. Mailchimp) that can send this sort of email, but I would prefer to use a program I am familiar with, if this is at all possible.

I doubt very much that VSD does the proper code for emails at all. If you're used to VSD, then to be honest Mailchimp would suit you better as it's a very easy setup to use. Sure it takes a bit to work through it the first time, but it's really not a difficult process and their email builder is pretty good from the last time I was there. Just thinking for ease of use that may be your best bet. You don't "have" to code anything in there, but it does give you the option to do so so you have the best of both worlds there.

If you're truly not wanting to take the time to do that (which is silly since you're asking for a different program to use that you'll have to learn that too lol), then the HTML Editor (which is not a visual editor at all) would be your best bet and you can find a lot of free email templates around the web. I just got an email from PSD Freebies that is giving away a pretty nice looking one here: http://www.bestpsdfreebies.com/freebie/ … psd-theme/ and the HTML Editor would be what you need to use to edit that theme to put your own images and content in. The layout is already done for you so the hard work is done already.

Hope that helps and good luck whatever you decide to try.

Thanks for your help and advice, Jo Ann. It is much appreciated. I'll give Mailchimp a go.
